Now is the time to give. Build your legacy today.

A bequest could be the most powerful charitable gift you make. If everyone in our region left 10% of their will or estate - no matter how big or small - our nonprofit community would have an abundance of resources to sustain and grow. Together, we can invest in a bright future for our neighbors.

As you reflect on the legacy you will leave behind, consider the many ways you can preserve your estate for your family and continue to bring health, justice, and hope to your community

A charitable bequest is one of the easiest and most flexible ways that you can leave a gift to LCSNW that will make a lasting impact. In this way your gift will keep on giving and build strong foundations for local LCSNW programs.

“We have witnessed the positive impact this agency has on the lives of so many across the Pacific Northwest and are thankful for the people who make social services their passion. Including the work of LCS in our estate planning is one way to extend the blessings we have received.” — Gordon & Donna Merseth, Portland, OR

Benefits of a bequest:

  • Leave a lasting legacy
  • Receive an estate tax charitable deduction

  • Reduce the burden of taxes on your family

How a bequest works:

A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an attorney, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to family, friends or LCSNW as part of your estate plan, or you can make a bequest using a beneficiary designation form.

As you work with your financial planner, attorney, accountant, or insurance specialist, please ask them how you can include LCSNW in your estate plans.
